SCH is Edinburgh's only 5 Star Privately owned and managed hostel and is situated in the Old Town, only a minute's walk from the High Street. We have developed our business to deliver the very best service to individuals and groups - we are very well organized to deliver and manage groups of young people. Safety and security are at the heart of our service - with the hostel having 24 hour reception, and our group security procedures which are in place give reassurance to parents and group handlers.
Edinburgh is one of the best cities for educational and sport visits - SCH are committed to the Government's Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto - and given our location, we confidently deliver to groups visiting for Historical, Science, Language and Sport - we have 620 beds - and can cater for large and small groups.
All rooms are en suite and come with towels, soap and shampoo -we have hairdryers too, so no need to pack these items.
Our Café where breakfast is served, is open all day for nutritional quality snacks and meals - we never have complaints about our portions - we know that young people like quality and VOLUME. Throughout the summer we have a daily BBQ - serving great food on our terrace. In cases of emergency, we are very well served by our own Doctor/Dentist - and many staff are trained in First Aid.

Communication - we have Free WiFi and Internet Access (for a small charge), so keeping in touch should be easy, we have chargers for all mobile phones - if you need to talk to your group handler through our switchboard, call us on 0800 840 5500 and we will ensure that a message is relayed immediately.
Leisure - we have a very large lounge area for chilling out - where every home comfort has been included - comfy sofas, TV, Games, pool table for good old fashioned fun and a Wii station (small charge for using).
