Here are some of our current openings:

Reception Staff
First impressions count, and you will be the friendly professional face to welcome our guests and groups. You will be calm, dealing with everything from large groups to individual backpackers, and families - checking them in and looking after them while they are here. You'll also be telling them of our many facilities that they can enjoy when they are staying with us, and directing non residents to our bistro for a bite. Experience of hotels, hostels or other hospitality industry is a great advantage, but we'd love to hear from you if you have the right attitude and can impress!

Cooks
We want to give our guests a real surprise with the bistro - an emphasis on local produce, fair trade suppliers and above all, value for money. We are aware of all the choice on our doorstep, so you will be key to delivering a concept that draws our guests downstairs, and passers by in off the streets of the old town. You will also show an aptitude for cleanliness, hygiene and food handling. Our clientele will be folks from all over the world with a refined palate, plus our discerning locals.

Porter
You will liaise with all departments of the hostel, and importantly, with our suppliers as they deliver a range of goods to the hostel. A good all rounder, your support function will help the whole team - so you should have a good eye for detail as you will be all over the building. With 620 bed spaces, expect to be busy and have a fast shift!

Night Porters
You are on hand to welcome our guests around the clock, and ensure their safety and security. Working 12 hour shifts will give you 4 days off after 4 shifts. Your tasks will be varied. Working with another colleague you will be responsible for the front desk, checking in our late arrivals and helping out in smartcitycafe. Computer literacy is required, along with a good customer service background, ideally with some bar or restaurant experience.
