Following quickly on our formal 5 star award from VisitScotland, the new Tourism Minster in Scotland Jim Mather MSP performed the official opening ceremony on 2nd October.
Following hard on the heels of the Scottish Governments' review and new proposals for VisitScotland, announced last week, the Minister was lobbied by our travel trade guests.
He said of Smart City Hostels Edinburgh:"I'd like to congratulate the directors and investors in Smart City Hostels who have had such foresight and confidence in the Scottish tourism market and in the youth market in particular. This £10m investment is impressive and is in the vanguard of innovation in Scottish tourism. I know it will be very successful.
